The First Annual OUI Refresher Course is a two-day, hands-on training designed to enhance roadside investigations and strengthen courtroom-ready cases. Hosted in partnership with the Old Orchard Beach Police Department and The Pier Pub Patio, this course brings together law enforcement, legal professionals, and community partners to deliver a well-rounded and realistic training experience.
Officers will refresh their SFST skills, learn current best practices, and gain valuable insight into how OUI cases are challenged in court through a defense attorney perspective. The training also includes a live wet lab, allowing participants to apply their skills in a controlled, real-world environment. This collaboration driven course is built to provide practical, immediately applicable tools for both the roadside and the courtroom, while strengthening partnerships between agencies and the community.
