The SAFE Program (Situational Awareness & Force Escape) is a practical personal safety course designed for women that focuses on awareness, boundary recognition, and response to unwanted or threatening behavior. The program emphasizes identifying potential threats early, using verbal commands and body positioning to maintain distance, and understanding common tactics used during close-contact assaults. Participants learn simple, gross-motor defensive techniques intended to help break free, create space, and disengage safely rather than engage in prolonged physical confrontation. The course prioritizes prevention first, realistic decision-making under stress, and confidence built through controlled, instructor-led practice.
